The Subic Bay Freeport is not a single-province lot: as first described in Proclamation No. 532 (1995), the 67,452-hectare zone reaches Olongapo, Subic and San Antonio in Zambales and Morong and Hermosa in Bataan, and its own metes and bounds say the data are approximate and subject to future surveys.

Around Mount Pinatubo, the NCIP issued CADT R03-BOT-0708-073 in 2009, covering 15,998 hectares in Botolan and parts of Cabangan, San Felipe and San Marcelino. In Tarlac, Hacienda Luisita's agrarian land distribution was reported completed in 2018.

In Aurora, four protected landscapes in the E-NIPAS system cover watersheds in Casiguran, Dilasag, Dipaculao and Dinalungan.

Common problems in Central Luzon

• Lots near the Subic Freeport line: Zambales and Bataan lots near Olongapo, Subic, Morong or Hermosa can sit on either side of the freeport boundary. A Geodetic Engineer can plot your lot against the boundary as first described in Proclamation 532 and show which side you are on.
• Lots in the Pinatubo ancestral domain: The Pinatubo CADT covers 15,998 hectares, including villages such as Burgos and Villar. Before buying nearby, it helps to ask the NCIP for the CADT map and have the lot plotted against it.
• Parcels from the Luisita estate: Hacienda Luisita spans Tarlac City, La Paz and Concepcion, and its land was distributed to farm workers under CARP. If you hold or are buying such a parcel, you may want a Geodetic Engineer to match it to its agrarian title.
• Lots by Aurora's protected landscapes: Four E-NIPAS landscapes protect watersheds in Casiguran, Dilasag, Dipaculao and Dinalungan. For a lot near the Sierra Madre foothills, ask the DENR office whether it falls inside one before planning any building.
